MOUNTAIN Rescue Team volunteers helped two men down from Edale after they became dehydrated and disoriented while out walking.
The men from London and Letchworth in Hertfordshire, had spent the day walking part of the Edale Skyline, including the Great Ridge and the Northern edges of Kinder Scout, when they ran into difficulty.
They had intended to return to Edale via the Southern edges of Kinder Scout but became dehydrated and disorientated whilst crossing the plateau and called for assistance.
When they described the scenery around them members of Buxton Mountain Rescue Team realised they were in the Grindsbrook Gorge area and set off to find the pair.
They were found safe and sound and were escorted to Edale village. The men were checked over but neither required medical treatment.
The rescue team is funded entirely by donations.
