Have your say

Pip, pip, hooray, chaps.

The derriere of the year is back on the market.

Not that future Queen Kate’s stunning sister would probably look twice at you.

Unless you’re an Old Etonian and your mater and pater own an estate rather than live on one, you’re never going to match up to the man who has just dumped her.

Yes, you read that right. It was the most desired woman of 2011 who got the boot.

Pippa Middleton is said to be crushed and heartbroken after losing her boyfriend of 18 months, upper-crust financier Alex Loudon.

And while his actions may have many a male Philippa fan dumbfounded, we women can see perfectly clearly why he did it.

Ignore the rumours that, Royal connections aside, she wasn’t posh enough for his parents. This isn’t about class; it’s about male ego, surely. Reputed to be the serious, in control type, he found himself the reluctant clown in a media circus, trailing in the wake of the sparkly little show pony.

Few alpha males like it when the girl they picked in part for her utter adoration of him suddenly becomes the star turn. Alex is apparently saying he got fed up of the paparazzi tailing their every move, but isn’t it her new-found confidence he can’t handle?

Scores of women have felt like Pippa does now; hurt and confused because they inadvertently made their boyfriends feel inferior. Wishing they could be less than they are to win him back. But It Girl Pippa needs to become the Over-It Girl - and find a man to match her.
