Sheffield and Chesterfield train stations are now equipped with free Wi-Fi internet technology.
The first of 11 stations served by East Midlands Trains have received the technology upgrade, giving passengers free, fast mobile internet connections.
There are plans for another 29 stations to receive the Wi-Fi service before the end of the year.
Neil Micklethwaite, customer service and commercial director for East Midlands Trains, said: “We already provide Wi-Fi on board our London trains and in our first class lounges.
“To complement this, we are rolling out Wi-Fi at a number of our stations, both large and small.”
