Zuzanna, five, designs builders’ greeting card

Bentley New Village Primary School pupils got into the Christmas spirit when Doncaster housing firm Keepmoat asked them to design its Christmas card.

The Lakeside-based company approached the school as it is currently building 137 homes in Bentley.

The 300-strong school was happy to help as part of their end of year classes, as children of all ages learned about the history of Christmas cards.

Paul Scotting, inclusion manager at the school, helped to organise the competition and, with the help of headteacher Lynne Donald, narrowed down the entries to a shortlist of seven.

The winner, Zuzanna Mroz, aged five, was presented with a gift to open yesterday, and 500 Christmas cards designed by her have been sent out to customers by Keepmoat Homes.
