GOAL! Budding footballers scored some top tips from Sheffield United coaching staff in half term soccer camps.

Blades-mad youngsters practised skills in everything from passing and shooting to ball control in the camps at The Derek Dooley Sports and Community Centre in Crookes.

Camps also took place at Tideswell and Dronfield.

Mark Todd, community development manager at Sheffield United, said: “The soccer camps are always really popular with sporty youngsters looking for an exciting way to spend half-term.

“It’s a great way of helping youngsters to stay fit and healthy. The camps have proved to be a great opportunity for youngsters to show off their football skills to coaching staff.

“Some budding stars have been offered a place in the Sheffield United development centre and are now having trials in the hope of being signed for the Sheffield United Academy.”

Children aged from five to 14 took part in the camps, with games and world cup competitions.

Soccer camps what are they, perhaps it's something to do with the world series, or is it that game American women play.
