Woodhead Pass blocked due to lorry crash

News: Local, national and international news 24-hours a day.

THE A628 Woodhead Pass is closed this morning following a collision between a lorry and a car.

Emergency services were alerted to the smash at 7.30am and found the road ‘totally blocked’.

It is expected to remain closed for some time while arrangements are made to recover the lorry.

The crash happened near Tintwistle.
