News: Local, national and international news 24-hours a day.

A WOMAN involved in a collision in Rotherham two weeks ago has died from her injuries.

The 58-year-old was travelling along Rotherway when her red Peugeot 206 was involved in a crash with a grey Seat Altea travelling in front.

Both cars were travelling towards the West Bawtry Road roundabout.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the Seat is believed to have stalled a number of times before the crash.

The woman from Rotherham, who was driving the Peugeot, suffered a bleed on the brain and was treated at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield but died on December 23.

The police spokeswoman said: “Officers would like to trace a man driving a small silver car that stopped at the scene immediately after the collision, and spoke to the woman. The man left, saying he had an appointment.

“It is not believed the silver car was involved in the collision, but the driver may have witnessed it.”

Anyone with information about the crash at 7.50pm on December 14 should call 101.
