Wildlife lovers sought for run
SHEFFIELD Wildlife Trust is calling on participants in the city’s half marathon to raise funds for the charity as they run.
The trust maintains nature reserves across South Yorkshire and works to boost the city’s wildlife.
“Usually, we have at least one team and several individual runners who pound the streets on our behalf,” said the trust’s marathon co-ordinator, Jo Walker.
Richard Pethen, who previously raised funds for the trust, said: “I know how much the Wildlife Trust does locally and I was happy to run for such a good cause.”
The half marathon is on Sunday, May 27.
