Warning over Rotherham roadworks set to last until 2015

Motorists are being warned to expect delays when a new sewerage system is installed in Catcliffe.

From Monday traffic lights will be installed on Main Street while Yorkshire Water connects the new Harworth estate housing development to the sewer and water systems.

There will be 500 metres of water pipes laid along Main Street, Rotherham Road and Orgreave Road and 1,160 metres of sewer pipes will be laid on Poplar Way.

The work is expected to be complete in early 2015 and will be done in phases to reduce the sections of road subject to traffic management at any one time.

Where possible work will be carried out in the verges.

The Yorkshire Water Customer Service Team will be working closely with those most affected.
