OLYMPIC queen Jessica Ennis could see her sporting palace demolished after Sheffield Council decided to withdraw £700,000 of annual subsidy to Don Valley Stadium - but should it close?

The council, which aims to make £50 million of cuts, will also withdraw £400,000 subsidy for Stocksbridge Leisure Centre.

It plans to reopen and upgrade Woodbourn athletics track as an alternative to Don Valley Stadium.
