VIDEO: Mission Christmas Cash For Kids needs YOU!

SHEFFIELD’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal looks set to smash its festive target - but only if we get your help!

With one week to go, appeal staff are working overtime to ensure they have enough presents to help the thousands of children across the city at risk of waking up to nothing this Christmas morning.

On hand to lend some much-needed va-va-voom is Sheffield Sytner, which is inviting folk to its Broad Lane showroom in Sheffield to try to fill its cars with presents for the charity.

Trevor Thomas, from charity supporter Magic AM, has been broadcasting live from the showroom this week.

He said: “Sytner has been an official drop-off point throughout the campaign and they’re giving it one last big push for us.”

Last year the appeal helped a record-breaking 13,159 children and this year’s target is even higher.

Trevor said: “We set ourselves a big target and we’re tantalisingly close to hitting it – Sheffield has done us proud!”

On Monday, Cash for Kids will be taking its Star backed Hallam FM and Magic AM Mission Christmas appeal to Meadowhall.

Trevor said: “There will be a Sytner Mini in the shopping centre with the boot up – come and pop your gift inside.”

Elaine Dickinson, Sytner customer services manager, said: “We’ve been involved with Cash for Kids for three years and just love that it’s people in our own city we’re helping.

“We’ve held a baking competition and sponsored fancy dress, anything we can to raise awareness of this fantastic charity and get as much support from the people of Sheffield as possible.”
