Van arrests leads to drugs

TWO men have appeared before Doncaster magistrates on drugs supply charges after armed police stopped a car in Sheffield and traced an alleged cannabis factory at Armthorpe.

Officers followed a van onto the Sheffield Parkway from the M1 and arrested the men after stopping it early on Tuesday and recovering £36,000 worth of cannabis plants.

As a result police went to industrial premises on Gunhills Lane, Armthorpe, where they found evidence of an alleged cannabis set-up.

The men in the van, Beau Bunting, aged 26, of no fixed address, and Paul Brashaw, 28, of Castledale Croft, Sheffield, have been charged with possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.
