AN INQUEST into the death of a man killed by a train on the Doncaster-to-Leeds line last month has been opened.
Coroner Nicola Mundy took evidence of identification on David Scott, aged 61, of Briar Road, Skellow.
Mr Scott, a married man, died on January 30 at Adwick Junction, about 100 yards south of the A1 motorway bridge. A post-mortem examination has been carried out but Ms Mundy adjourned the inquest for further reports.
