A LORRY has jack-knifed on an icy road where a water main burst this morning.
The HGV was travelling along the A628 Manchester Road, close to the junction with Lee Lane, when it skidded at around 7am.
The incident has caused congestion on roads in the area.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said roads in the area are icy.
Emergency services have been informed of a number of ice-related collisions, including one on the A621 near Owler Bar and a car has smashed into a wall on the Snake Pass between Snake Summit and Glossop.
Police are also warning of sheet ice on Ringinglow Road, Hathersage.
