PUPILS at a Doncaster school have been learning a different kind of geography – with a trip to mysterious Middle Earth.

Year 6 pupils at Dunsville Primary School have been discovering all about author JRR Tolkien’s classic The Hobbit – and all the weird and wonderful creations within it in lessons this term.

Youngsters have been creating maps of the novel’s centrepiece Middle Earth as well as stories and drawings relating to the classic story which was made into a series of films as The Lord Of The Rings trilogy several years ago.
