THREE people charged with the attempted murder of a Barnsley student have appeared in court.
Daniel Whiteley, 19, of Darton, is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after he was found in a water-filled ditch in a park at Fallowfield, Manchester, last Tuesday.
He had multiple injuries to his head and body.
Today Michael Brownlie, 26, Nicholas Lindsay, 21, and Katie Mongan, 18, all of Longsight, Manchester, appeared at Manchester City Magistrates Court charged with attempted murder.
They were remanded in custody to appear at Manchester Crown Court on March 19.
