Three arrested over 100-plant cannabis haul

THREE men were arrested after police officers discovered around 100 cannabis plants at a property.

A 40-year-old man from Sheffield, a 43-year-old man from Rotherham and a 31-year-old local man were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and bailed pending further inquiries.

The raid took pace at an address in Top Road, Calow, near Chesterfield.

Sergeant Aidan Stones, of the Holmewood, Grassmoor, Calow and Arkwright Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Whenever we receive information about possible illegal drug activity we will always look to develop that information and investigate further if appropriate.

“Without the support and help of the local community this wouldn’t be possible and I would ask that residents get in touch with us if they see any suspicious activity.”
