A third man has been arrested over the murder of a student in Sheffield city centre.

A 27-year-old man is currently in custody being questioned by officers in connection with the death of Anowar Tagabo.

Mr Tagabo, who was originally from Sudan and was studying at the University of Bradford, was assaulted on Carver Street in Sheffield city centre at around 4.20am on Sunday, May 25.

He had travelled to Sheffield for a wedding and later went for a night out with a friend.

He was taken to hospital where he died on Tuesday, June 3.

A post-mortem examination concluded that the 25-year-old died from a head injury.

The incident was captured on CCTV.
