Stadium photos support charity

START spreading the news – contract manager Gary Rodgers has raised more than £2,000 for charity thanks to his work on Rotherham United’s New York Stadium.

The Ellrod Site Services worker used social media to keep fans up to date with building work at the stadium, which opened in July – and then produced a DVD of some of the pictures he published.

Gary said: “We completed the work and then I had the idea of a DVD for supporters to keep as a souvenir.”

History in the Making captures the evolution of the stadium from the erection of the first column to the first game.

Copies were given away in return for donations to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in North Anston – raising more than £2,000.
