POLICE in Doncaster are searching for six stolen British bulldog puppies.

Officers received reports that six puppies were stolen during a burglary at a house on Roberts Road, Edlington on Sunday.

It is thought that the six pups were taken from the home between 11.30am and 3.30pm while the owners were out.

Police believe that a rear window was smashed in order to gain entry to the property where the puppies were being kept with their mother.

The thieves took all six puppies, but the mother was left behind.

Police would like to speak with anyone with information, including anyone who has been approached by someone trying to sell them a bulldog puppy.

Anyone with information should contact South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 633 of 10, February.
