Loving crossbreed lurcher Wilf has not had the best start in life – but he’s hoping a new owner will give him a bright future.
The cute tan and white dog was taken in at the RSPCA Sheffield branch due to a cruelty investigation.
RSPCA Sheffield branch animal care manager Tony Benham said: “Wilf has a number of scars which suggest something rather sad must have happened before he came to us, but fortunately this furry fellow’s sunny personality and sweet nature have been unaffected.
“He is loving, friendly and laid back. At the same time he enjoys playing, and loves a game of chase or running after his ball.”
Due to his gentle nature, Tony says six-year-old Wilf would be better suited to homes with children over the age of eight.
She said: “He’s a very cute, endearing and a bright lad who lifts your spirits, and he takes instruction well.
“After a good game or a walk, Wilf enjoys nothing more than propping himself upside down on a duvet in his bed and having a good snooze. He also loves to take a teddy bear we have given him to bed.
“Wilf would love to find his forever home where he can finally have his own space and a family who love him.”
