Sheffield police hunt man over burglary

CCTV images have been released of a man police want to trace over a burglary in Sheffield, writes Claire Lewis.

Detectives investigating the break-in on Kenninghall Close, Norfolk Park, want help in identifying the man in the CCTV stills.

They believe he may hold vital information about the offence.

The burglary was committed at around 9pm, on Thursday, February 14, when a man entered a house by smashing the glass in a rear patio door.

The owners of the property were on holiday at the time. but a neighbour heard the glass shattering.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “It is believed the man entered the property by smashing the glass on the rear patio door. A neighbour heard the smash and attended the property disturbing the offender, the owner of the property was on holiday at the time.

“Around £30 was stolen from the property.”

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1,065 of the February 14.
