A paramedic is fighting for her life in hospital after her car left the road and struck a tree.
The woman, aged 24 and from Sheffield, suffered life-threatening injuries following the collision in Hoyland, Barnsley on Sunday morning.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “At around 4.30am on Sunday, February 16, a black Vauxhall Corsa, driven by the woman, is believed to have been travelling along Broadcarr Road in the direction of the A6135 Sheffield Road.
“Approximately 30m past the Stead Lane junction, the Corsa is reported to have left the road and come into collision with a tree.”
