Two friends from the Sheffield area have revived a 1980s American icon – to drive from Blackpool to Benidorm.

Fundraising duo Mark Rotherham and Mick Lawton have brought the General Lee from cult 1980s TV show The Dukes Of Hazzard back to life by transforming an old Peugeot into a replica of the car in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in North Anston, Rotherham.

Mark, aged 40, of Carr Lane, Dronfield, and 47-year-old Mick, of Anston, Rotherham, have been overhauling the old Peugeot 406 into a replica of the Dodge Charger used in the show.
