Sheffield murder suspect released on bail

savagely attacked by a group of yobs. Anowar Tagabo, 25, who was studying Peace and Development Studies, attended a wedding in the hours prior to the brutal beating, before meeting a friend for a night out. But as the celebrations continued, Anowar was confronted by a pack of men and women - who savagely beat the pair, leaving Anowar with a serious head injury.  He was immediately rushed to hospital for treatment, but sadly died nine days after the attack in Sheffield, South Yorks., on May 25. South Yorkshire Police have now launched a murder probe.

A second man arrested over a murder in Sheffield city centre has been released on bail.

The 24-year-old was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Anowar Tagabo, 25, on Monday and was later released after questioning.

Another 24-year-old man was arrested over the weekend and was also later bailed.

Mr Tagabo, who was originally from Sudan and was studying at the University of Bradford, was attacked on Carver Street at around 4.20am on Sunday, 25 May.

He had travelled to Sheffield for a wedding and later went for a night out with a friend.

Paramedics took him to hospital, where he died on Tuesday, June 3.

A post mortem examination revealed he died from a head injury.

The incident was captured on CCTV.
