Sheffield man crushed to death at work

NEWS: News.

NEWS: News.

Family visit factory where Sheffield dad was crushed to death

Mr Dwyer’s horrified son Jordan, who worked with him, witnessed the tragedy unfold, it has emerged today.

Speaking about his loss on Facebook, Jordan Dwyer said he’d done all he could to help his beloved dad.

He posted: “Lost the man of my life, it’s killing me dad.

“Been and put flowers down today - saw everything happen again.

“I tried all I could to save him. Glad I was by your side when you went.

“RIP dad - proper miss you already.”

Officers from South Yorkshire Police and the Health and Safety Executive are carrying out inquiries to establish exactly what happened and if the death could have been prevented.

Yesterday heartbroken friends and relatives of Mr Dwyer - a father-of-three-and grandfather-of-two - gathered at the spot where he died to lay flowers.

Police officers stood guard at the scene, which was still cordoned off.
