Some schools in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire are closing their doors because of today’s snow.

At 11.30am Wisewood Primary in Sheffield announced it was shutting because of the bad weather.

In Derbyshire, Herbert Strutt Primary School asked for children to be collected early, as did Alfreton Park; Flag Nursery; Queen Elizabeth Grammar School - although the school remained open for scheduled afternoon exams; and Brookfield Primary School.
