Staff and former workers at a Barnsley factory are urged to check their homes and offices for the missing half of a roll of honour.

Experience Barnsley has received a roll of honour of the factory staff at Redfearn Glassworks who fought in World War One.

But the surnames on the roll start at the letter M –
so the search is on for the missing first half of the list.

The company has changed hands and locations over the years and is now known as Ardagh Glass and is based on Burton Road, Monk Bretton.

Experience Barnsley staff are appealing for any former or current factory workers to check their offices or homes.

Coun Roy Miller, cabinet spokesman at Barnsley Council, said: “It would be great if we could reunite the two frames and hang them together.”

n Anyone with information about the missing roll of honour should call Jemma Conway on 01226 787 771.
