ROADS across South Yorkshire are still closed off and under water this morning because of widespread flooding across the county.

The B6094 Carr Lane, Conisbrough, is closed in both ways between the B6376 Edlington Lane junction with Common Lane.

Thorpe Bank in Barnby Dun is closed both ways between Fordstead Lane and Marsh Road and Scotch Spring Lane, Stainton, is closed both ways between the A631 Tickhill Road and Old Scotch Spring Lane.

Nursery Lane, Sprotbrough, is closed both ways at Mill Lane and Water Lane, Stainforth, is closed in both directions between Silver Street and Fishlake Nab.

Wilsic Lane in Tickhill is closed between Peastack Lane and Long Gate.

More heavy rain overnight, following torrential downpours over the weekend, caused roads to flood across the county.

Engineers are at Catcliffe Flask in Rotherham this morning draining excess surface water into the river.
