Retelling the cup glory days

Author and BBC editor Lance Hardy will be at Bawtry Community Library on Friday to talk about his book on one of the greatest FA Cup Final shocks of all time.

His book, Stokoe, Sunderland and ’73, has been nominated in the British Sports Book Awards.

It tells the story of how then Second Division Sunderland won the Cup that year against red-hot favourites Leeds United.

A book signing will follow his talk and question and answer session, which starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £3 and are now on sale at the library.
