ILLEGAL waste dumping has landed two South Yorkshire men in court.
The pair, from Doncaster, appeared at the town’s magistrates’ court where they admitted offences relating to waste disposal.
Ashley Paul Jameson, aged 30, of Ascot Avenue, Cantley, received a four-week curfew and must not leave his home between 8.30pm and 6am.
He was convicted of depositing controlled waste and failing to produced appropriate transfer documentation.
Paul Tetley, aged 60, of Scott Crescent, Edenthorpe, also admitted failing to produce his waste carrier’s licence registration number and transfer notes.
He was fined £150 and ordered to pay £150 costs and pay a £15 victim surcharge.
The court heard that in March, unemployed Jameson was working off a debt to Tetley when he fly-tipped waste on Durham Lane in Armthorpe.
The offence was discovered by a Doncaster Council enforcement officer.
Following an investigation by the authority, the crime was traced back to Jameson and Tetley, magistrates were told.
