Inquiries are ongoing into the whereabouts of John Heald, the man wanted in connection with the murder of Bridlington guest house landlady Bei Carter on Friday July 18.

Humberside Police and South Yorkshire Police are working together to find him and anyone who has seen Mr Heald or spoken to him in the last few days is asked to contact the police.

There have been reported sightings of him in Rotherham and Mexborough.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Baldwin, senior investigating officer, said: “Our investigation into the murder of Bei Carter is continuing and we are working very closely with South Yorkshire Police.

“I would appeal directly to John Heald to hand himself in at the earliest opportunity so that we can talk to him and find out what has happened.”

Anyone with information should ring the Major Incident Room on 01377 208989 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
