A spate of vandalism in Peak District villages has led to increased police patrols.
Derbyshire Police’s Hathersage Safer Neighbourhood Team says it is looking to crack down on the anti-social behaviour problem in Hathersage and Bradwell.
Recent reports have included bins, umbrellas and seats that were left outside Pool Café, in Oddfellows Road, Hathersage, being dragged away and thrown over a fence into a tennis court.
The incident happened overnight between October 17 and 18.
Other anti-social behaviour problems were reported in Church Street and Netherside, Bradwell, late at night on October 18.
In one incident, a floral memorial that was placed near the roadside in Bradwell was damaged.
PCSO Anthony Boswell, from Hathersage Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “These incidents seem to be random acts of anti-social behaviour but they have caused a lot of distress.
“We are carrying out extra patrols over the next few weeks.”
