Police hunt Sheffield snow attacker

POLICE in Sheffield are still hunting a man who assaulted a schoolboy when he was playing in the snow last month.

Josh Ellis, aged 11, of Hillsborough, was playing on Watermeet Road, Malin Bridge, with a nine-year-old friend, when a car pulled up alongside the pair and a man jumped out and beat the boys up.

The boys were both were taken to hospital for a check up after the attack, which left them bruised.

The attacker wanted by police got out of a red Suzuki type vehicle which stopped as Josh and his friend were playing in the snow.

Josh’s mum said the boys had not provoked the attack.

n Anyone with information about the incident between 4.30pm and 5pm on January 22 should call police on 101.
