Police hand out property kits

FREE property-marking kits have been handed out to Staveley residents to help them protect their homes against thieves.

They have been handed out by Derbyshire Police in a drive to reduce break-ins across Staveley and Mastin Moor after a spate of offences where burglars have sneaked in through unlocked doors and windows.

Each kit has a unique code that can be identified under ultra-violet light to help police return stolen items.
