A CCTV image has been released by police officers investigating the theft of a mobile phone on a train between Sheffield and Stockport.
British Transport Police want help in tracing a man they want to speak to in connection with the theft on Monday, January 28.
PC Stephen Coldwell said: “The 23-year-old victim boarded the 11.28pm service from Stockport to Sheffield.
“She fell asleep with her bag under her seat. When she arrived in Sheffield she discovered her bag had been opened and her phone, a Samsung Galaxy, had been stolen.
“After reviewing CCTV images, I would now like to speak to the man pictured, who I believe may be able to assist with our inquiries.”
