South Yorkshire Police are seeking information on the whereabouts of Peter Whiteley, a convicted sex offender who has failed to notify the Force of a change of address.

Whiteley, 49, is bound by the terms of his Sex Offender Notification Requirements, which include informing police when he moves house.

However, last June he moved out of an address in Exchange Street, Doncaster, and failed to notify the authorities of this.

Since then, extensive enquiries have been made across the UK in a bid to find him. Whiteley is now thought to be in the Kings Lynn area of Norfolk, or in London.

He is described as white, 5ft 11ins tall and of a slim build. He has grey hair which, when he was last seen, was curly and around collar-length.

He has blue eyes and teeth missing from the bottom set. He also usually wears scruffy casual clothing.

Anyone with information on Whiteley’s whereabouts should call South Yorkshire Police on 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
