Police appeal after Co-op robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a convenience store.

The incident happened at around 8pm at the Co-op on Church Street, in Conisbrough, Doncaster on Sunday, March 17.

Two men entered the store, and one pointed a kitchen knife at the woman behind the counter and demanded money.

She shouted a colleague from the rear of the store, who raised the alarm.

The robbers then grabbed cash from the till, which they put in a clear plastic bag, and ran from the Co-op, turning right and right again down an alleyway that leads to Waverley Avenue.

No-one was injured in the attack.

The man with the knife is described as white, aged in his early twenties, around 5ft 8in tall and of slim build. He was dressed in dark clothing and spoke with a local accent.

His accomplice was also wearing dark clothing. He is said to be slightly shorter at around 5ft 7in tall, also aged in his early twenties, his accent wasn’t local but he spoke with a deep voice.
