Pile-up causes closure of M1 motorway in South Yorkshire

AN early morning pile-up has led to the closure of the M1 motorway in South Yorkshire.

Police said a number of vehicles were involved in the smash on the southbound stretch of the M1 between Junctions 30 and 31 - Clowne and Aston.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said there are not thought to be any serious injuries.
