People pledge to be more healthy

Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield is leading a campaign aimed at fighting the UK’s five biggest preventable killers – heart disease, stroke, cancer, lung and liver disease.

The Big Health Pledge encourages people in Sheffield to make small lifestyle changes to improve their health.

So far more than 2,000 people have signed up.

Thornbury Hospital will be running free mini check-ups and physiotherapy sessions at Abbeydale Tennis Club on Monday, July 28.
