TWO men have appeared in court charged with murdering a dad who was gunned down on his doorstep in South Yorkshire.

Nathan Paul Wingfield and Stephen Barry Rodgers are charged with murdering Tyrone Woodhead, aged 42, at his home in Wath-upon-Dearne on October 24 last year.

Wingfield, 22, of no fixed address, pleaded not guilty to an unrelated robbery on September 9, Mr Woodhead’s murder and a further robbery on September 21.

He also pleaded not guilty to possessing an axe at the Keepmoat Stadium on September 27.

Stephen Barry Rodgers, 29, of no fixed address, is charged with two offences.

He pleaded not guilty to murder and not guilty to the September 21 robbery.

They will stand trial at Sheffield Crown Court in March.
