Loving crossbreed Kate may be aged 10 but there’s life in this old dog yet.

The Staffy cross was taken in to RSPCA Sheffield when her owner sadly passed away.

She has no health problems and is simply looking for a new owner to love in her older years.

RSPCA Sheffield Branch animal care manager Tony Benham said: “It would be wonderful if we could find Kate a home, perhaps with a older person but one who is active.

“She’s a lively, bouncy and enthusiastic lady who loves nothing more than a good run and a game of fetch.

“We are wondering if people are overlooking Kate because of her age and not seeing the many benefits of having an older dog.

“Puppies are very popular with people but getting an older dog can be just as rewarding and fun.

“With a dog like Kate, less training is involved and you can already see her loving temperament, sweet looks and cute canine character.

“This loving lady would leap at a second chance in a forever home and she has so much to give.”

Kate will require two 30-45 minute walks a day.
