Nursery turned into Wonderland

CHILDREN at a Sheffield nursery school celebrated World Book Day with a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

The event took place at the Megacentre on Bernard Road, Sheffield, and even the Cheshire Cat went along.

Those attending ate Tic Toc Teacup biscuits and fairy cakes.

Festivities included singing, dancing, a special Alice in Wonderland pass the parcel and a spot of croquet.

Tracy Frost, deputy manager, said: “The party was brilliant.

“The children were able to step into Wonderland and experience the story on a whole new level.”

The Mega Nursery is a 57-place Ofsted registered day nursery for children aged three months to five years and is based at the Megacentre, a not-for-profit business that helps victims of human trafficking, homeless and street children in Ghana.
