News In Brief: Date fixed for hall’s AGM

The annual general meeting of Epworth’s Imperial Hall has been set for Tuesday, March 27, starting at 7pm. The meeting is open to anyone who wishes to attend.

The Imperial Hall, which is a registered charity and run by a committee of local volunteers, offers extensive facilities for organisations throughout the Isle of Axholme.

Doncaster Council’s partnership development officer, Claire Scott, has told Bawtry Town Council that residents of the Pemberton Grove estate have been consulted about a play area being established with money from the developers but they would prefer to have a planting scheme instead.

Lunchtime recital

Violinist Susan King and pianist Kirsty Allison will be performing for members of Doncaster Arts and Museum Society at their lunch-hour Concert on Wednesday, February 15, at the Chequer Road gallery from 1pm. Admission for non-members is £3.

Estate walk

A ST Leger Homes estate walk takes place on Monday afternoon in Balby and will take in Cedar Road, Aldam Road, Warde Avenue, Blackwood Avenue, Kipling Avenue, Riley Avenue, Bronte Avenue, Austen Avenue and Mallard Close.

Bleech-ed out

the revival of The Leopard in West Street continues tomorrow with an appearance by Bleech, a girl-fronted band formerly known as the Slummin’ Angels, who are on stage from 8pm. Tickets are £4.
