A DRIVER failed to stop after his car hit a parked van.

Police said the car is thought to have been a dark red or maroon Seat Ibiza. It is likely to have sustained damage to the driver’s side. It went out of control at 8.10pm on February 4 on Wingfield Avenue, Worksop.

Car fire spread

FIREFIGHTERS were called to deal with a Seat Leon car found alight on the driveway of a house on Greengate Road, Woodhouse, Sheffield, after an arson attack. Flames spread to a nearby fence at midnight on Tuesday.

Blaze at car park

THREE cars were damaged by fire after one developed an electrical fault on a car park outside homes on Barnsbridge Grove, Measborough Dike, Barnsley. The blaze started in a Mercedes and spread to a Ford Fiesta and a Peugeot.

Land Rover ruined

A LAND Rover Discovery found burning on Carr Green Lane, Mapplewell, Barnsley, had been deliberately set alight. Firefighters tackled the blaze at 8pm on Tuesday.

Wrecking spree

FIVE vehicles were damaged in a wrecking spree on Wortley Road, High Green, Sheffield, overnight last Friday into Saturday. In Chesterfield firefighters put out a blaze in the boot of a car on Sheffield Road, Old Whittington.

Shed set ablaze

AN ARSONIST was to blame for a shed going up in flames on York Street, Mexborough at 2.15pm on Tuesday.
