NATHAN Paul Wingfield has appeared at Sheffield Crown Court charged with attempting to murder Tyrone Woodhead, gunned down on his doorstep in Wath Upon Dearne.
Wingfield, who spoke only to confirm his name and wore a blue T-shirt for the hearing, was remanded in custody and a trial date was set for March. He is also charged with attempted robbery and aggravated burglary.
Break-in at council
POLICE are investigating a break-in at a council storeroom in Sheffield. The burglary on Ironside Road, Gleadless Valley, was committed on Saturday, September 22.
Waste skip ablaze
AN INDUSTRIAL sized waste bin was set alight outside flats on Upper Allen Street in Sheffield at 6.45am on Thursday.
Valuables stolen
THIEVES stole valuables from cars parked on Victoria Court, Nether Edge, and Olive Grove Road, Heeley, on Wednesday last week.
