Investigation into shed burglaries

SHED burglaries are being investigated by police in Sheffield. One was broken into on Crawshaw Grove, Beauchief, overnight on Sunday into Monday and another was raided on School Lane, Greenhill, over the weekend.

SmartWater offer

POLICE in Sheffield will be offering SmartWater to burglary victims and their immediate neighbours in a bid to reduce break-ins across the city. The invisible substance is used to code valuables.

House break-ins

AN EMPTY home was broken into on Ladysmith Avenue, Nether Edge, between February 19 and March 4, while a boiler was stolen from a house on Batemoor Place, Batemoor, last weekend.

OAP complex alert

FIRE crews were alerted to a fire at Weavers Court sheltered housing complex in Penistone after an automatic alarm was tripped at around 6.15pm on Tuesday.
