Vehicles set alight in arson attacks

A GARAGE containing a motorbike went up in flames in Sheffield. The blaze on Stannington Road, Stannington, on Thursday night has been logged as accidental.

A van was set alight in an arson attack on Bawtry Road, Tinsley, at 8pm on Wednesday. And firefighters dealt with a VW Passat set alight on Tuxford Crescent, Cundy Cross, Barnsley at 2.30am yesterday.

Burglars on prowl

A HOME on Roache Road, Brincliffe, Sheffield, was broken into when a window was left open on Saturday night.

A property on Alexandra Road, Heeley, Sheffield, was burgled overnight on Saturday, and police are investigating an attempted burglary on Mount View Avenue, Norton, when an attempt to force open a door failed on Monday.

Thieves steal van

POLICE are searching for a Ford Transit Van stolen from Molloy Place, Heeley, on Saturday. A spare wheel was stolen from beneath a van parked on Penrhyn Road. Hunters Bar, overnight on Thursday.
