Bin blaze spread smoke into house

A HOUSE was smoke-logged after a wheelie bin was set alight in the early hours of yesterday.

Firefighters called out to the incident on Gaunt Road, Gleadless Valley, said the house was empty at the time.

Arsonists strike

A BIN blaze in a yard on Abbeydale Road, Sheffield, is believed to have been deliberate. Firefighters were called out to the back of shops at 3.20am on Saturday. Crews were called out to Florence Avenue, Swallownest, Rotherham, after a skip was set alight at 8.40pm on Thursday.

Vehicle destroyed

A RENAULT Scenic car found burning on Ravencarr Road, Manor, Sheffield, had been deliberately set alight. Firefighters were called out at 10pm on Sunday.

Factory evacuated

A ROTHERHAM factory – Trelleborg Sealing Solutions on Dodds Close, Ickles – was evacuated after an extractor unit caught fire.
