Football banning order for unruly fan
A BARNSLEY fan has received a three-year football banning order after being found guilty of a public order offence.
Dean Clark, aged 26, of Honeywell Street, Barnsley, was arrested on December 15 after a disturbance when Barnsley FC played Sheffield Wednesday at Oakwell.
PC Paul Davies warned: “There are several more arrests to be made in relation to offences committed by fans during and after this game.”
* Police made five arrests at the Rotherham United and Chesterfield derby last Saturday - three for criminal damage and two for being drunk and disorderly.
Smoke-logged flat
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a smoke-logged flat on Trippet Lane in Sheffield city centre in the early hours yesterday after a pan was left on a hob. Nobody was hurt.
Yob threw brick
A YOB on a bridge hurled a brick at a moving VW Golf car, smashing its windscreen, on the A61 in Chesterfield at 8.20pm on Tuesday.
